Curtis Garrett makes his third appearance on the show to talk go-to market LTL strategy for niche 3PLs like Zipline.
“If I think back through the years and all the companies I’ve observed, the most chaotic 3PLs are the ones with an ‘LTL is a necessary evil because something’s gonna go wrong’ type of mentality,” says Curtis, “They’re always the broadest and most transactional 3PLs, using blanket rates only and getting rates from anybody and everybody. When you’re trying to choose the best carrier based on routing and the cheapest price, there are tons of service and capability variables that aren’t aligned.”
